We promote that all nutrients should be "Available but not chemically Soluble". This enables plants to function in symbiosis with bacteria and fungi.
Plants take energy from the sun and convert that energy into sugars carbohydrates and proteins into a liquid carbon form. These are delivered to Mycorrhizal fungi who trade that carbon laced energy with bacteria in exchange for solubilised nutrients for the plant.
In this way we can Sequester Carbon. 
If you supply nutrients in a chemical soluble form, Bacteria and Fungi are not required; hence, No liquid carbon pathway, No Carbon Sequestration, No Nutrient Cycling.
